Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Pan-African lender, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) on Thursday said its profit after tax for the Half-Year (H1) period ended June 30, 2018 grew 36.6 percent to N51.55 billion from N37.73 billion recorded a year ago.
Pretax profit of the pan-African lender, also appreciated 40.8 percent to N65.09 billion in the H1 of 2018 from N46.24 billion posted the same period of 2017.
Gross earnings declined 0.6 percent to N384.58 billion in second quarter of 2018 from N386.82 billion recorded a year earlier.
Shares of ETI at the close of the trading session on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange rose 0.49 percent to N20.70 from N20.60 recorded the previous session, gaining 0.10 kobo per share.
