Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Soap and detergent producer, Unilever Nigeria Plc on Tuesday reported a Loss after tax of -N7.4 billion for the fourth quarter period ended December 31st, 2019 compared to a profit after tax of N10.5 billion reported a year ago.
The company also reported a Loss before tax of -N10.1 billion compared to a profit before tax of N10.6 billion in the corresponding period of 2018.
Revenue of Unilever Nigeria. declined by -34.9 percent to N60.48 billion from N92.90 billion in the previous year.
Net Assets of the soap and detergent manufacturer also declined by -19.6 percent to N66.5 billion from N82.8 billion recorded the same period of last year.
Shares of Unilever Nigeria at the close of Tuesday’s trading on the Nigerian Bourse appreciated 4.76 percent to N11.00 from N10.50 recorded the previous session; gaining 50 kobo per share
