Sector Performances: Banking (+0.65%), Oil & Gas (+0.22%), Consumer Goods (+0.20%), and Industrial. 

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value declined by 8% and 10% respectively, compared to this time yesterday as investors have traded about 56million units of shares worth about N371million. TRANSCORP (+1.69%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 12million units of shares accounting for about 21% of the total volume. 

Likely close: In the absence of significant losses in the prices of DANGCEM and MTN, the market may close up today if the gains in most sectors persist.
