FBN Holdings Says 2020 Post-Tax Profit Upp + 14.45% to N75.6 Bn, Declares 45 Kobo Dividend

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s top tier financial HoldCo, FBN Holdings Plc (FBNH) said on Thursday its profit after tax (PAT) for the period ended December 31, 2020 climbed up +14.45 percent to N75.6 billion from N66.0 billion recorded a year ago.

Profit before tax (PBT) grew 10.67 percent to N83.22 billion from N75.19 billion declared the same period of 2019.

Gross earnings of the financial HoldCo decreased from N590.38 billion in the 2019 year end to N579.42 billion posted in the review period of 2020; showing a decline of 1.86 percent, FBNH said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

The Financial HoldCo proposed a dividend 0.45kobo per share compared to 0.38 kobo paid in 2019 year end; indicating an increase in dividend payout by 18.42 percent.

FBNH says Qualification date is April 20, 2021 and closure date has been scheduled for April 21-22, 2021, 2021, while payment dates is for April 28, 2021.
