Sector Performances: Banking (+1.64%),  Industrial, Consumer Goods and Oil and Gas.

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value declined 70% and 80% compared to this time yesterday, as investors have traded about 36million units of shares worth  N197million. JAPAULGOLD (+9.43%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 6million units of shares accounting for about 17% of the total volume.

Likely close: In the absence of significant losses in the prices of DANGCEM and MTN, the market may close up today if the gain in the Banking sector persists.
