United Capital Says H1 2021 Post-Tax Profit Up +64.2% to N3.1 Billion

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s leading investment bank and a foremost Pan-African financial and investment services group, United Capital Plc on Friday said its post-tax profit for the half-year (H1) 2021 Unaudited period ended June 30, 2021 grew by 64 percent to N3.1 billion from N1.9 billion recorded a year ago.

Profit before tax also increased by 65 percent to N3.7 billion from N2.26 billion reported the same period of 2020.

While gross earnings rose by 54 percent to N6.9 billion from N4.4 billion in the previous quarter of 2020. Net Assets declined by -3.6 percent from N24.4 billion to N23.6 billion declared the corresponding period of 2020.

Shares of company at the close of the session’s trading on the floor of the Nigerian bourse gained 3.17 percent to N6.50 from N6.30 traded the previous session; gaining 20 kobo per share
