NGX-ASI Closes Positive by +0.12% on Gains in MTNN

The Nigerian equities market closed up today by 0.12% as NGX-ASI closed at 38,968.34.   

In today’s trade, market breadth index was negative with 18 losers against 14 gainers.  

UPDC (+9.64%) was the top gainer while TRANSCOHOT (-10.00%) led the losers today.  

UNIVINSURE was the most actively traded stock with 17million units of shares worth about N3.6million. 

Sector Performances

  • NGX Oil and Gas Index: Decreased by (-2.00%), due to the loss in SEPLAT (-6.54%),
  • NGX Banking Index: fell by (-0.39%), due to the decline in STERLNBANK (-1.99%) and ZENITHBANK (-0.63%)               
  • NGX Consumer Goods Index: Close Flat
  • NGX Industrial Index: Closed Flat
